What You'll Learn in Our Workshops

We focus on practical skills that you can implement immediately in your business, using tools you already have.

Track Every Sale and Purchase

We teach you a straightforward system to record your daily transactions in a simple notebook. You'll learn how to organize entries so you can quickly see what came in and what went out each day.

This isn't about complicated accounting terminology. It's about creating a habit of writing down what happens in your business so you have reliable information when you need to make decisions.

  • Morning and afternoon recording routines
  • Categorizing different types of transactions
  • Creating weekly summaries from daily notes
  • Handling cash and credit sales differently

Calculate What You Really Earn

Many business owners think they're profitable because money keeps moving. We show you how to identify every cost—from transportation to packaging to spoilage—and subtract it all to find your actual profit per product.

You'll learn to distinguish between money that's moving and money that's staying in your pocket. This understanding changes how you price products and make purchasing decisions.

  • Identifying hidden costs in your business
  • Calculating profit margin for each product
  • Understanding when to adjust prices
  • Recognizing which products actually make money

Separate Business from Personal

One of the most common challenges we see is mixing business capital with household money. We teach you practical methods to keep these separate, even if you don't have a business bank account.

This separation helps you see when you're taking earnings versus consuming capital, which is essential for keeping your business sustainable over time.

  • Creating a simple capital tracking system
  • Recording personal withdrawals properly
  • Maintaining adequate working capital
  • Planning for business reinvestment

Know When Business is Truly Growing

We help you recognize the difference between a busy business and a profitable one. You'll learn to look at your records and determine whether your business is getting stronger or just staying afloat.

This includes understanding seasonal patterns, recognizing warning signs early, and making informed decisions about expansion based on real financial information rather than feelings.

  • Comparing month-to-month performance
  • Identifying concerning trends before crisis
  • Deciding when to expand inventory
  • Understanding cash flow patterns

Why Our Approach Works

We've designed our program around the real challenges that small business owners face in Paraguay.

Built for Your Reality

We don't teach corporate accounting methods that require computers and formal training. Our system works with the tools you already have—a notebook, a pen, and a basic calculator.

Everything we teach has been tested with market vendors, street sellers, and small shop owners. We understand that you need methods that fit into your existing routine, not complicated systems that require hours of extra work each day.

Taught in Your Language

All our workshops are available in both Guaraní and Spanish. You choose the language you're most comfortable with, and we deliver the entire program in that language.

We believe that financial education should be accessible in the language you think in. This isn't about translation—our instructors are native speakers who understand the cultural context of small business in Paraguay.

Fits Your Schedule

Our complete program takes place over three afternoon sessions. We know you can't close your business for full days of training, so we've structured everything to fit around your working hours.

Each session builds on the previous one, giving you time to try the methods between meetings. You'll have homework—simple tasks like recording your daily sales—but nothing that takes more than a few minutes each day.

Who This Program Serves

We created this educational program specifically for people who run small businesses in Paraguay—market vendors selling produce or goods, street sellers with mobile operations, and small shop owners in neighborhoods and communities.

You don't need any previous accounting knowledge. We start from the beginning and build practical skills step by step. If you can write numbers and use a basic calculator, you have everything you need to benefit from our workshops.

This program is educational only. We are not accountants and we do not prepare tax declarations or official financial statements. We teach you to understand your own business finances using simple, practical methods.

Common Questions About Our Workshops

We answer the questions we hear most often from people considering our program.

Do I need accounting experience?

No previous experience is required. We teach everything from the beginning, assuming you're starting with no formal accounting knowledge. If you can write and use a calculator, you're ready to participate.

Will I need a computer?

No. Our entire system works with paper notebooks and a basic calculator. We specifically avoid computer-based methods because we know they're not practical for most small businesses in our communities.

Will this help with taxes?

We are not accountants and we don't prepare tax declarations. Our program teaches you to understand your business finances. For tax preparation, you'll need to consult with a licensed accountant.

How large are the groups?

We keep workshop groups small—typically between 8 and 15 participants. This allows our instructors to give individual attention and answer specific questions about your business situation.

What materials do I need?

You'll need a dedicated notebook for your business records and a basic calculator. We provide sample forms and examples during the workshop, but the ongoing system uses materials you already have.

What's the time commitment?

Three afternoon workshop sessions, plus a few minutes each day to record your transactions. The daily recording becomes faster as you develop the habit—most participants spend less than 10 minutes per day on their records.
